POLICY & FEDERAL DEVELOPMENTS Federal funding disruptions for schools are far from over, with continued uncertainty ahead. Congress is examining special education interagency agreements under IDEA, raising civil rights concerns. Key federal education data collections are under review in an agency overhaul. A GAO report found COVID equity provision data is unreliable, questioning maintenance of equity tracking. The Education Department is seeking comments on loan caps and professional degree definitions. A new law gives parents more time to review special education evaluations before making decisions.
